About Morda House Church

We are a house church that meets in homes in Morda and Oswestry, Shropshire. The elders of the church are Mike Ashton and Phil Denton. We are all Christians with a variety of talents, gifts and roles within the church.

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings at 10.30. On Wednesdays we have a bible study and on Sundays we have worship, communion and a meal together. We are like a family and so we support and care for each other all of the time and take part in leisure activities together.

We practice body ministry where everyone can contribute towards our worship together as the Holy Spirit leads. We encourage each person to use their gifts and ministries to help build us up as a body.

Nobody in the church has a title; we just have roles. We are all servants of one another. There is no membership system and no collections. We simple seek to function as the early church did as we find it in the New Testament.

Even though we are small in number we believe it is important to have a firm foundation for all we do. First and foremost, that foundation is the Bible. But we also have a Statement of Faith setting out our core beliefs.
